What is the origin of the indexer? The so-called origin of the indexer refers to the reference position of the indexer. For the input axis, the keyway of the input axis is facing the direction of the output axis, and the straight line passing through the center of the input axis circle point and the center of the keyway is perpendicular to the output axis , This is the origin of what we call the input axis, and this position is exactly the center point of the stop angle of the output axis.

The position of the origin of the cam indexer on the input cam is as shown in the figure. It is the input axis of the indexer that enters the static angle after completing the indexer action (that is, the center point of the cam rib in a straight state).

The origin of the indexer is an important indicator in the use of the cam indexer. On the one hand, the origin of the indexer is adjusted to ensure that the driving angle of the indexer in use matches the driving angle of the induction system, so as to realize the precision of the intermittent function of the indexer such as PLC. control. On the other hand, the origin adjustment of the indexer is also related to the indexer and the driven system (disc, etc.), the intermittent transmission and the actual processing need to move and stop the same angle.

How to adjust the origin of the cam indexer? Taking an indexer with a driving angle of 270 degrees as an example, the center point of the keyway of the signal cam coincides with the center point of the keyway of the input shaft, and then the input shaft is adjusted. The position shown in Figure 1 is the position of the origin of the indexer.

When assembling discs and other facilities with the origin of the indexer, the indexer should be adjusted to the origin position, and then the processing station of the disc should be adjusted so that the moving and stopping position of the processing station is synchronized with the origin of the indexer.
