In long-term use and operation, even purely mechanical things, there will be abnormalities and abnormalities in use. Insufficient, but for the indexer, due to its pure mechanical nature, the probability of abnormality is still less than that of other similar machines.
What to do when the cam mechanism fails
1. The main failures in the indexer are the drive cam on the input shaft responsible for the transmission and the needle roller on the output turret. For the cam, there are fewer abnormal damages, and only forced operation under severe overload or jamming. , The damage of the cam can not run with the indexer. If the cam in the indexer is partially worn or damaged, it can still be used without affecting the accuracy. However, try not to adjust its axial position privately. If there is irreparable damage, adjusting the shaft torque will seriously damage the cam;
2. If the needle roller bearing in the cam indexer is damaged, the way to deal with it is to take out the needle roller bearing on the output turret of the indexer to replace the needle roller bearing. When replacing the needle bearing, first loosen the output sleeve and take out the output shaft. Be careful not to loosen the eccentric cover at the back of the indexer to avoid changing the axial position of the indexer. Will use the entire indexer machine mechanism to produce looseness and offset.
3. The simplicity of appearance of the cam indexer will give people an illusion that assembly and adjustment are equally simple, but it is not in reality, because some adjustments will affect the accuracy of the entire mechanism. For engineers , It’s very simple to troubleshoot the
cam mechanism. If you haven’t touched it, it’s still recommended. If the indexer fails, return to the production plant for maintenance and inspection.
