In the driving source of the
cam indexer, stepping motors are often used, so how to realize the forward and reverse rotation of the stepping motor? To understand this problem, one must know the angle, speed and direction of rotation of the stepper motor, as well as the number of input pulses, frequency, and power-on sequence related to it.
The setting of the forward rotation of the stepper motor can also be simply understood as the setting of the direction signal of the stepper motor. The direction level signal DIR is used to control the rotation direction of the stepper motor. When this end point is high, the motor turns; this When the end point is low, the motor turns in another direction. The motor commutation must be set after the motor stops, and it should be known that the commutation signal must be sent after the last CP pulse in the previous direction and before the first CP pulse in the next direction. When the controller (host computer) sends out a double pulse (ie, positive and negative pulse) or the amplitude of the pulse signal does not match, we need to use our signal module to convert it to a 5v single pulse (pulse: in the direction of addition).
1. When the input is a single pulse, the pull switch of the signal module should be pulled to the single pulse position. When there is a pulse output, the motor rotates. Changing the high and low levels of the direction signal can change the direction of rotation of the motor. For specific timing, please refer to Module specification.
2. When the input is a double pulse, the DIP switch of the signal module should be set to the ˙double pulse: middle position. When a positive pulse is sent; a middle, the motor rotates forward; when a negative pulse is sent, the motor reverses. The positive and negative pulses cannot be given to the signal at the same time, and the specific timing can refer to the signal module manual.
The running direction of the stepper motor is opposite to the requirement with
cam indexer, how should it be adjusted? There are two ways to achieve this: one method is to change the direction signal of the control system. The other method is to change the direction by adjusting the wiring of the stepper motor , The specific method is as follows: For a two-phase motor, only one phase of the motor wire exchange can be connected to the stepper motor driver, such as A+ and A- exchange: For a three-phase motor, one of the motor wires cannot be exchanged , Instead of swapping the two phases in sequence, such as swapping A+ and B+, or swapping A- and B-.
